Awiye Journal of Language Literature and Communication Studies (AJOLLCS) is published by the Department of English and Literary Studies, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. The Journal is published annually.

Notes on Contributors 

Adenike Akinjobi, PhD, is a professor of phonetics, phonology and sociolinguistics at the University of Ibadan. She trained in speech acoustics at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, as a Visiting Scholar in 2004.  

Kehinde Olujobi is a doctoral student in the Department of English, the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he also teaches Use of English I and Use of English II. His doctoral research explores how voice recognition systems perceive and interpret human speech, contributing to the growing intersection of linguistics and artificial intelligence.

Kazeem Adebiyi-Adelabu, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of English, the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. His research interests cover African literature, poetry studies, and medical humanities.

Gabriel Kosiso Okonkwo, PhD, is a lecturer at Chrisland University, Nigeria. He held a postdoctoral position at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa in 2023. He is the author of Bleeding Thoughts, Frantic Vultures, Testament to Throes, and Fighting the Mulish Monsters. He was the General Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Oyo State Chapter from 2021-2022.

Victor Ayomide Fabunmi is a doctoral student in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. His academic interest is Applied cum Forensic Phonology.

Temitope A. Balogun, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. Her scholarly research interests include discourse studies and pragmatics.

Julianah Ajoke Akindele, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Osun State University, Osogbo. Her academic interest focuses on the use of spoken language to investigate societal issues and L2 speech perception, production, comprehension and intelligibility challenges.   

Fredrick Friday John, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow of the School of Arts, the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and a lecturer in the Department of English, Chrisland University, Abeokuta. He is also a fellow of Institut Français de Recherche en Afrique au Nigeria [Institute of French Research in Africa (IFRA)]. 

Princess Omovrigho Idialu, PhD, is an Associate Professor and the current Head of the Department of English and Literary Studies, Wesley University, Ondo. She teaches English and Literature at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She specialises in Discourse Studies and Language Education.

Chibuzor Franklin Akpati, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer and current Acting Head of the Department of Languages, Glorious Vision University, Ogwa, Edo State. He teaches English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He specialises in discourse studies and stylistics.

Abiodun Olukayode Tairu, PhD, is a lecturer and early career researcher in the field of African literature, marginalized and cultural studies. He teaches at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Ayobami Kayode is a graduate student at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.

Toyin Shittu, PhD, a playwright and poet, teaches drama, poetry, gender studies and comparative literature at Osun State University Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. He is the author of Niger Blues and other Poems (Kraftgriots, 2016), The Crash (Haytee, 2024) Japa: Elegy for Nigerians (Aydel, 2024) and The Minstrel: Celebrating AVLESS ’97 (Aydel, 2026).

Morufu B. Omigbule, PhD, is an Associate Professor of oral literary studies at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.  He has published in reputable local and international journals, and won grants and international fellowships.

Bolarinwa Ebenezer Mowemi is a member of Communication and Language Arts Department, the University of Ibadan. He specialises in research writing, guiding students through rigorous scholarly methods, as well as applied communication.

Busoye Tolulope Omolasoye is a member of the Communication Arts Department, Bowen University, Iwo. She specialises in Applied Communication, focusing on effective communication strategies across various contexts.

Ayodele O. Olaosebikan, an Assistant Professor, is affiliated with the Communication Arts Department, Bowen University, Iwo. She specialises in Applied Communication. Her scholarly work brings valuable expertise to the field's practical dimensions.

Jaiyeola Oyewole, an Assistant Professor, is a scholar in the Communication Arts Programme at Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria. She specialises in Gender and Health Communication, a critical area within Development Communication.

Tioluwalogo Olakunbi-Black is a member of the Communication Arts Department, Bowen University, Iwo. He specialises in Film Communication, Broadcasting, Speaking, and Writing. His scholarly engagements demonstrate versatile expertise across multiple communication formats.

Adedamola Tinubu is affiliated with the Communication Arts Department, Bowen University, Iwo. He specialises in Broadcasting, Speaking, and Writing. His scholarly work demonstrates well-rounded skills across these communication disciplines.

Ideraoluwa Adepitan is a member of the Communication and Language Arts Department, the University of Ibadan. She specialises in Applied Communication. Her r scholarly engagements contribute to practical approaches within communication studies.

Michael Dare Ogunniyi is affiliated with the Communication and Language Arts Department, the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He specialises in Media Studies and Applied Communication, bridging theoretical and practical dimensions of the field.

Yemi Atanda, PhD, a playwright, director and poet, teaches at the Department of Theatre Arts, College of Humanities and Culture, Ikire, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. He is the author of Dialectics of Revolution in the Postcolonial Drama of Obafemi& Yerima: Towards the Theory of Revalorization (Scholar’s Press, 2014). He is a co-editor (Femi Osofisan&Abiola Fasoranti) of The Time is Out of Joint: Playwriting in a Time of Global Incoherence (Mosuro Publishers, 2016).
